Depression

Erwin Jung

Once a bellowed lucent heart
Astonished by the love around
Now watching everyone part
As a black dove bound

Sensing the waves catching up to me
Anxiety deceiving my mind
The water is no longer a blue sea
But I was once so kind

Now I am a brittle stone
I can no longer hold on
Feeling more and more unknown
I fade within shadows upon dawn

But now I have drowned
Aware of soothing warmth
The birds no longer sing
