Deception of The Heart

I thought she had a heart

But really nothing inside but granite and stone

I beat my self up many nights caught up in nocturnal cries

She made me believe she was better than rest

But instead she was the best at deception

She lied to me but even worse she lied to self

She use to amuse but now she just leaves me confuse

I thought I crush you but time revealed

My heart is the one turned to dust

You ain't no berry you'r just spoiled fruit

You left me and made me crazy

Time revealed that your heart is shady

Myself I often blamed until I became emotionally lame

Because of time and absence I bare witness

To the betrayal of my heart.
