Dark and Light

Stars so bright
Make dark of fright
Disappear in site
The dark surrounds
Everything in its track
Til light shines through
And brings us back
Dark is cruel
For we can't see
Whats ahead
Can it be
That it can take us
In its cold grasp
Hold us down
As it traps
Traps our dreams
Takes them away
As the light and warmth
Leave us cold
Cold and empty
We lay on the floor
Until our savior
Runs through that door
Hits the dark with all its shine
Shines so free
And destroys it
Destroys it like nothing ive seen
Nor have I felt
I feel the warmth wash over me
Now i can see
Exactly what light does for me
It makes me free
Free to be
Free to see
For dark took me down its road
I felt cold and empty
But now i know
Light is the road we need
It keeps us warm and makes us free
