A tear of empty sorrow
Lights the path ahead
What is held in tomorrow
Are the things I dread;

Something to hold,
Someone to love,
Joy I can claim my own;
What is common to the world,
True feelings never found,
Lost among my soul

For the only thing I know
Is this comfort pain of home
