Childish

Whatever doesn't stay
Has to go

Building my world
With legos
Making everything
Around me
Come alive
With some imagination
I strive to
Reconstruct my dreams

Then I sit down
And with my minds eye
I make it real
Like it was before
My own world
To unfurl and explore

As I walk
I create my reality
My surroundings
From the tropical seas
To the forest filled
With mystical
All knowing trees

But time
It flies straight and true
Never turning back
To look at the view
My world
My conscience
Badly bruised

Ignorance is bliss
But I can see it coming
The tropical seas
The mystical trees
A gentle warm breeze
My reality is fleeting

And I find myself
Needing hot chocolate
For I am not in
Some childish dream
I am facing the
Icy winds and people
Of the city

My tall trees
Become buildings
High in the sky
The sea of people
Around me
Forces me into
Society

Hey, some of these aren't that great but what the heck. I just like writing how I feel in the moment so some of my poems might be confusing because I was confused in that moment. Maybe thats why I wanted to write a poem, to sort out my thoughts. Anyway, just read them and hopefully just one of them will bring you some kind of joy, or make you feel some kind of connection. Peace.>>>I also do star photography - probably why space works its way into a lot of my writing. http://mcb-photography.blogspot.com/ more…
