john delacruz

my mother was blue
father was too
brother and sister were grey
learned the word sex when I was two
made my first friend at eight
long live the childhood bridge
broken knees
cuts and wounds
never thought twice about life
ran the marathon when I could
new a cat that loved to chase mice
long live the childhood bridge
