Chasin' the Sun

God's great country--we sit and ride across
this land. Listen to the radio--Hootie's
"Hold My Hand." Half past Texas, we see the
old tracks run by. Cast our eyes west,
starin' into the blue-gray sky.

Big Red Devil races easy
 way over a hundred.
Miles and counties roll by quick.
This thing is so fast
three hundred fifty cubic inches in her.
My foot feels like a brick.

Even'n is coming, colors paint the cattle
farms. Long way from home, in need of our
lady's arms. Keepin' pace with the time,
loosin' light but havin' fun. Waiting for
the moonlight, only been chasin' the sun.
