Bugged

A double line of bugs marched
Across the kitchen floor;
They were stepping in tandem
Carrying a wooden two-by-four.
My jaw dropped in wonder
At the strength of the parade;
Strutting through like they owned the place
Heads held high completely unafraid.
Down the hall and around the corner
They turned left and entered the wall;
I shoved my face into the newly built doorway
And saw an entire bug-built mini-mall!
There were many shops and stores
With bug-customers waving credit cards;
The escalator was running to the second floor
As golf carts were driven by security guards.
Bug-customers were carrying shopping bags
Strollers were being pushed by the dozen;
I saw one particularly weird looking bug
That looked a lot like my cousin!
The whole scene was beyond belief
And then a sudden yell-Where did you go?
Honey you've been sleepwalking again
Why do you have your head stuck in the window!?
