Birds in a cage

Bird In A Cage
(This poem is based on emotions of a freedom fighter in prison)
When I behold my comrade soar
Through the bars of the cage.
Tide of emotions arise from heart and soul
To break the man made laws.
Laws of nature should abide by all.
Freedom inborn right for all.
Gift of nature same and equal.
Man can encage the mortal frame.
Yet free the mind and soul.
You are free so long your mind is free.
Though the wings being clipped
Talents within remain alive.
Exposes the limit of human power.
Through the bars I behold
The rolling of days, seasons and years.
My hope soar along with the cloud.
I have to explore the beauty of nature.
Enjoy the sound of water
Flowing through the rocks.
Jumps from boughs to boughs
In search of food.
Survey the woods in distant land.
Sing a love song along with my friends.
When I fail to break the bars
New bud of hope bloom again.
To regain the right of birth
Till the dusk of life.
