Some of us stray from our calling because being in the realm of our ''calling'' isn't comfortable. Being 'self' means loneliness, being peculiar, being inconspicuous, being rejected, being mis-understood and being in the negative because your positive. I'm at war with 'self' and there's no escaping it.
