Ancient statues

Uma Natarajan

The marble stone and the carved postures
Their exact proportion and the ecstatic limbs
When they shine during the sun's royal shine
 As if they blush and smile looking divine
During night the moon beams make them glimmer
The stars make their glow trimmer
The sculptures speak a divine silent language
And create a permanent bondage
