Alexis Diane

I thought of the name when I was about twelve
The name of the daughter I might someday have
I love the name Alexis it has meaning and makes me ponder
Now the middle name is after my loving mother
Since my eldest sister didn't name hers after mom
I thought I would do the honours of that so she is calm.
Of the daughter I might someday cherish and love as my own.
I will do her hair, and teach her everything my mom taught me
She'll grow up knowing she can be whoever & whatever she wants to be.
For she is the daughter that I hope will one day be born
And I will thank the Lord for the gift of another life to love
In every morn.. When she is asking for advice on how to do things right be polite...
She will ask her grandmother Diane and how her light shined so bright
For my mother Diane is full of love and never hate,
I thank God for her and amazing way of being so great
