She fell asleep
Aside the river
Waiting for a shadow.
She held the embers
Of her eyes
Underneath a twilight veil.
Murmers of a beating heart.
She opened her clenched hand,
He took it in his gently.
His lips pressed to her eyelids,
He fell asleep
