A Short Poem About Trust

A Short Poem About Trust
By Nicholas A. Kemper

Trust is like gambling,
rolling the dice for high hopes that you will finally score,
what you have always been searching for.

Trust can be hard,
as it may seem to be absent in most,
who trick and deceive when you thought they came close.

Trust isn't for everyone,
for some may hold on to the past to make no mistakes,
and once someone new emerges you make sure to hit your emergency brakes.

Trusting isn't about the past however,
for one thing to think about is how the future is forever.

Trust can be rewarding,
when the one person you trust for the hope in God,
may give you happiness forever and abroad.

Trust can be a trial,
as you trust someone from the start,
until you see they can't tell trust and deceit apart.

Trust can be unburdening,
as when God gives you the most trustworthy of them all,
you will forget your past, both pain and memory together,
and will live stronger and happier above all.

My first real poem ever is "A Short Poem About Trust." To see the story behind it go to the poem and view the comment I made. I am also a writer. I am currently in progress of my first real book "Trial by Thunder" and when the time comes I'll find a way to get anyone interested hooked up in reading it when I finish. I love reading and I love poetry when it's done correctly. And I do believe in God, as noticeable in my first poem and probably many more to come.:) more…
