A Little More

You see all this hate, vertigo, and dismay
I know I have, I have seen it days and days
Violence floats the streets it's a thick cloaked sheet
That we can still see, but we're sitting in our seats
While we stare, with a glare, wondering why
Crime, courts, criminals can create a cry, but we can't sieze to try
We can stop this war, we can heal this sore
We can make it all go away, put it in a drawer
Though I see us trying, the helicopters flying
Chasing the guy going 90 while he's drinking and driving.
It's all on the news, it's been seen through and through
We live it, but it's true that we sometimes lose
Progress has been made, we've already gave
And even got paid, the brave tried to save
Our world from this plunder, still I even wonder
Will I be torn asunder, by this rising thunder?
Please dont oversee, that because we are free
There's no responcibility, however We hold the key
To open the door, to let the peace soar
As long as we keep trying, and give a little more
