A lamp for light

untill the morning come,
will the darkness be gone?,
to set lamp into darkness,
not a huge task to bring brightness,
then shall light illuminate the path,
she whispered as she hold the novel.

her ambition was a brilliant vision,
for a young girl it was good determination,
many envy her vigour to success,
a doctor was a career of her dreams.

well it has to be that fishe monger,
her own dearly father,
who drag her into ruins of her life,
he was a shutter to her happiness.

or is it that drunkard?,
who had to be her husband.

days were not fair,
school were not even near,
she had to travel a distance,
although the way was no safe.

the worse of those days,
it was when that wretched man,
abused her sexually,
afterward he went from being a rapist,
to an awful bedmate.

she still hope for the future,
she looked well at the work of literature,
a novel called,
a lamp for light.

she touched her belly,
a baby to give her new expectation,
she just turned seventeen,
wed to be a woman.
