A Herd of Deer
A herd of deer
grazing on grass
must not hear
the hunter pass
They drink cool water
and wander in the meadow
but a little later
there's a hunter's shadow
The hunter is spotted
the deer run blind
for the gun is all
they see in their mind
The hunter shoots
and makes his kill
a fawn is left
standing on a hill
