A Heart Free...

I live in the drift away,
breathing in the eastern bay,
blinking in disarray,
while piecing together the day...?
My vision; the promise land,
where everyone will understand,
always seeking truth beyond knowledge,
a wisdom not taught in college...
When Im feeling blue,
I listen to a song sung true,
A white man born with a black man's heart,
knowing what its like to be ripped apart...
Now that I have your attention,
witness my perception,
seeing is racism,
blind is the criticism...
I love each one equally,
a heart set free,
knowing its not about me,
its about a soul unfree...
My undertaker will be the last one,
knowing Ive won,
yet much more needs to be done,
for the reaper; is not my keeper...
