A crossroad

It happened so fast, so I took a walk,
its a lonely path and a winding road I am on.
Passing trees and faintly sounds,
with mud holes and tracks that crosses my path,
What is leading me on and on down this winding road?
As I remember memories which seem forever, and each in kind,
The loss and love I hold, embraces my mind.
Should I get off this winding road,
or should I go on.
Then I wonder what it is; I left behind,
I wonder what lies ahead,
I look back and remember my path,
and then I wonder why,
I stepped on this winding path.
It happened so fast, I wonder, can one ever go back.
