"Ocean Verse"

As the water unravels upon the shore,
I become more attached to it's allure.
You can hear the beauty when you close your eyes,
Then open them- and see so much more than before.

We spend our lives fighting to know,
-What it feels like to take it slow.
Through all the loss, hurt and lies,
This water stays, while friends- they come and go.

So I grab a seat down in the sand,
A million thoughts before I land.
All of the sudden my smile is genuine,
My mind clears and I feel like I'm back in command.
