Untitled ~ Jan. 04 2021

He left for the Army
     Straight out of school.
Don't let your heart go marching.
    Brain, lay down the rules.

Present ever is the darkness
     That consumes the heart and soul.
Soldiers, heed your ranks,
     Keep your spirits whole.

Upon you, winter shall ascend.
     A blizzard, in his wake, will go.
Autumn will raise her banners high
     And into battle will Spring and Summer follow.

Father above, show us Your mercy.
     Hear my prayers. Help us out.
Promise me You'll be with my soldier boy;
Bring him safely in and out of town.
