Junkie chronicles

All of a sudden everything goes dark, And your heartbeat expires There is no light at the end of the tunnel, You are surrounded by a terribly hot fire

A grotesque creature flies right past your ear, And hisses, "Welcome to Hell! You could have went to Heaven, But now you are but an empty shell!!"

It is too late for you to cry, And it is all your own fault You decided to walk this path, And you brought your life to a hault

Life was hard for you as a junkie, Doing anything you could to get high Such a pathetic way of life, Why even try to get by?

Anything to escape the pressures of reality, Such lengths to feel numb You would even rob your own mother, What a f*ck*ng piece of scum!!

You would sell your soul to Satan, For just a few moments of bliss You messed up so many innocent lives, And flirted with Death's kiss

You refuse to change your life, You are hurting those who really care When your mother looks into your eyes, She sees but a shell of what was once there

Your kids are growing up without daddy, And mommy is just a junkie whore But you are numb for the moment, And you think, "Who could ask for more?"

You force your disease on others, Not caring who you infect You figure, hey f*ck It, Your life is already wrecked

Lying, cheating, and stealing, Anything to cop yet again You done pused everyone away, Heroin, your only friend

Wouldn't the world be a better place, If you just ceased to breathe? I try to reach out to help you, But you want nothing to do with me

You are the one who created this, And you've let the monster out of the cage He feeds off your self-confidence, And only grows stronger with age

You need to put a stop to this, But you don't know what to do Depression is running rampant, Is it even worth it for you?

If you ever want to change, Don't be afraid to come to me I would love to help you, But only you can make this be

My hand is out for you to grab onto, And there is a better way I was once in your position, But I am better today

I too, felt hopeless, I had no reason to carry on, But I couldn't take it anymore, And then God came along

He pulled me out of the water, And showed me I am worth more today I have something to look forward to, So, come whatever may!

I know you don't want to hear this, But I will always be here That's what I wanted to see, Go ahead, let go of them tears!!

You too can make it!! But it will take a long time God is calling out to you, Here's your sign
