light and darkness

oh light of dreams wont you take away the darkness in me
oh i see the star light, the moon light and the sun light
that shows me the beauty of this world that beholds me
hold me like fire that never gets to close and it keeps me alive inside of all my troubles that comes down this road of life
step by step we don't even move in the mind, head strong seeing both worlds of light and dark as we wake and sleep
on and off, on and off, on and off, like a light switch
the pulse driven by desire and the feeling that takes you higher as you get carried away into the light o o o the light carries me away
the darkness is like a nail driven into flesh as it makes you scream even in silence
shattering like a mirror of your own reflection and the misdirection of beliving you will fail
always pushing you even when your down on the ground
the twisted logic that everything isn't enough and the greed that shows the love of life has left you
only the idea is all that makes you exist
cast aside the demons and call for the guardian angels and pray to the light
he will always answer with the swiftest of action that you could never believe
cradling your fears back to rest as you resurrect into life with the joy
a lie and the truth are just words if you have no faith in the meaning of what they are
just becomes a scrambled picture out of focused and over exposed and over used
the most beautiful song can become a nightmare when played over and over and over
until the music stops and all it does is play inside your head and you start to hate it as you whistle the tune
just another meaning of you learn to love what you hate but the truth is always there in the darkness waiting in the dream
for you to wake into the light
so pray with me
oh light of dreams wont you take away the darkness in me
oh i see the star light, the moon light and the sun light
that shows me the beauty of this world that beholds me
hold me like fire that never gets to close and it keeps me alive inside of all my troubles that comes down this road of life
step by step we don't even move in the mind, head strong seeing both worlds of light and dark as we wake and sleep
on and off, on and off, on and off, like a light switch
it's what we call life
