divided and divine

mae belle

stay without being still
flow with me
or sit near this apple tree
our can feet soak in clay river banks

trepidacious hearts
fluttering minds
mid air dance
slipping just to be floated again; by you

but a meander cuts through
draws away from you
the flushed fruit now sour
the leeches in the river
dividing the divine
into pieces

a pocket knife might become scythe
