Resilience

Independence and discipline.
Beauty and strength.
Contentment and patience are traits that I see in thee.

I commend all of your efforts
To keep your life straight.
To focus on matters
That truly hold weight.

If the words that are spoken don't express what I feel--what I see.

Forgive me I pray.
Know this from the heart.
How much I respect and admire
The person you are.
