We Know Better Than You

we know better than you
Reality Check: Are you awake? or just reliving an old forgotten dream?
Are you alert to the calling? Can you hear the water in the stream?
Drift in animosity and despair, only tears will fill your soul,
soar in the skies of fortune, and you're bound to reach the goal.
More than a mental mindfuck. is the world's craziness of late,
So many lost souls wandering, blinded in a world of hate.
Screw the unelected jerkoffs that think they rule everyone,
The ones that tell us our choice is: oh yeah, we get none.
It doesn't matter to them they never will pay the due,
All they want to get across is, "we know better than you"
you can't get a word in edgewise, you never can get through,
There is never empathy in the: "we are better than you"
Life can be so Mickey Mouse at times, too silly to understand,
while in other moments it feels like a hundred grand.
magic is the static in the air, high is the state of your mind,
music is the language you speak, as is love in all you find.
The irony of unsought drama, is karma usually has the last say,
It's never as much good or bad, as it is: more in knowing the way.
your directives are more clear, as you fend off father time,
wisdom, like the fountain of youth, adding truth to the rhyme.
I realize enough now, I recognize something that is true,
activating the patterns to avoid those, "we know better than you"
steering clear of the crash site, under sunny skies so blue,
I never believe a word when they say, "we are better than you".
