Life at my place

As the day neared to the dusk
I started swinging at my favourite place
I glanced around me embracing the greenery
I loved everytime the swing took me up to my dreams
There I could see me in my yellow and white frock
A girl in her adolescence
She was happy at her favourite place

The moo moo of cows in their shed
The chit-chatter parrot talking with other birds
May be she was on a strike to attain freedom
The vast blue sky to embrace was her distant dream
All she knew was the rounds of her cage

Again the swing took me to my favourite place
The place where my childhood days were spent
The calm serene courtyards, the coconut plantations
The lush green meadows and cool pond waters
Everywhere I could see her wide smile
She knew nothing and she loved her favourite place
