In Between The Scenes

In Between The Scenes

Running around in circles gets you nowhere fast,
You can't solve todays riddles living in the past.
In and out-to and from-You seem to go nonstop,
It's like swimming an ocean looking for a mountaintop.
Like the actor on a lifelong stage for all the world to see,
It's the comical irony of the one you long to be.
Searching through memories trying to solve the curse,
You're running in slow motion-Spinning your wheels in reverse.
In between the scenes of your lifelong drama,
You stop to ponder the reason for your trauma.
In between the scenes-It's your role in the big show,
Trying to learn your verses so you take it very slow.
Someday soon you could be on the well lit stage,
When you learn to bypass sorrow and turn the page.
Until then you wander aimlessly through a desolate wilderness,
Feeling an emotional poverty that keeps you from your success.
Rise above your challenges-Overcome your fears,
Face your inner demons and claim victory over the tears.
Rinse away the shame with a new found confidence,
Turn your life in the direction that makes more sense.
In between the scenes-As the mystery unfolds you see,
What goals you're after and how good life can be.
In between the scenes-You reflect on dreams of youth,
Then you discover the inner secrets of your hidden truth.
