Escape Mourned

Escape Mourned
To escape is to find
What was suffered as Lost:
To feel what grew in Mind
And to mind what’s felt most

To be mindful for Feelings,
Released in Control
That’s the fiery Deal that is
Here to call!..

And to where escape –
Into Morning or Night
Let decide flying Shape
Of ray burning of Light

That for Bearers born
First appear or last:
Let his Breath be adorned
In the Silence of Karst:

Silence, filled with unheard
Cries, and Ramble, and Groans,
Karst, where echoing Word
Hits through Evenings and Dawns,

Premonitions and Fears,
There wait to be turned
Into what will be Dear
For the Greeted – not Mourned!..
