memories with strangers

i see from a certain distance
an old man and an old woman
sitting and hugging
on a bench in the park
i did not go close
to see their faces
willing to remain
only with the diluted image
of a hugging couple
i knew
that i see them
for the last time
i knew that
sometime i will write a poem
about two people
i have
never met
