Tum Apne Shikve Ki Baatein

Roman Script-

tum apne shikve kī bāteñ nah khod khod ke pūchho
ḥażar karo mire dil se kih us meñ āg dabī hai

dilā yih dard-o-alam bhī to muġhtanim hai kih āḳhir
nah giryah-e saḥarī hai nah āh-e nīm-shabī hai

Devanagari Script-

तुम अप्‌ने शिक्‌वे की बातें न खोद खोद के पूछो
हज़र करो मिरे दिल से कि उस में आग दबी है

दिला यह दर्‌द-ओ-अलम भी तो मुग़्‌तनिम है कि आख़िर
न गिर्‌यह-ए सहरी है न आह-ए नीम-शबी है

Urdu Script-

تم اپنے شکوے کی باتیں نہ کھود کھود کے پوچھو
حذر کرو مرے دل سے کہ اس میں آگ دبی ہے

دلا یہ درد و الم بھی تو مغتنم ہے کہ آخر
نہ گریۂ سحری ہے نہ آۂ نیم شبی ہے
