Whispers of the heart

Saraphin, listen close, let me impart,
The feelings stirring deep in my heart.
As you shared your past, it pained me so,
To think of the hurt you had to undergo.

But know this, my dear, in the present I stand,
With open arms and an outstretched hand.
I'll do all I can to shield you from harm,
And bring you comfort, soft and warm.

When you asked why I'm drawn to you,
It's like my words, they just won't do.
Your presence leaves me at a loss,
Lost in your beauty, like morning's first frost.

Each word you speak, a melody divine,
Leaves me breathless, in awe, in line.
I long to know you on a deeper level,
To unravel the mysteries, our souls to revel.

Even if romance isn't in the cards we hold,
I'd treasure our friendship, more precious than gold.
Yet, I'll still pursue you, with every breath I take,
For being with you, it feels like a day at the lake.

Time slows down when we're together, it's true,
In your company, the world feels anew.
So let me be by your side, through thick and thin,
With you, Saraphin, my heart's bound to win.
