Anywhere But Home

Anywhere but home, I long to roam,
To wander far, to explore the unknown,
To break free from the familiar walls,
And answer the distant, beckoning calls.

In the quiet of the night, I dream,
Of places far, where the rivers gleam,
Of mountains tall, where the eagles soar,
Of oceans vast, where the waves roar.

Anywhere but home, I yearn to be,
To wander wild, to feel truly free,
To chase the sun across the sky,
And watch the stars as they pass by.

In the hustle of the city streets,
I feel the pull of distant beats,
Of lands uncharted, waiting to be found,
Of adventures calling, with a resounding sound.

Anywhere but home, I seek to find,
A place where the heart is unconfined,
Where the soul can dance and sing,
In a world of endless discovering.

In the whispers of the wind, I hear,
The voices of places far and near,
Calling me to leave the comforts behind,
And embrace the unknown with an open mind.

Anywhere but home, I long to go,
To chase the horizon, to let my spirit grow,
To lose myself in the beauty of the new,
And find a sense of belonging that's true.

In the quiet of the morning light,
I pack my bags and take to flight,
To seek the wonders that lie ahead,
To follow the path where my heart is led.

Anywhere but home, I find my place,
In the wide expanse of open space,
In the embrace of the unfamiliar land,
I discover the freedom that I understand.

In the stillness of the night, I rest,
Knowing that I have passed the test,
Of leaving behind the familiar zone,
And finding peace in being anywhere but home.
