Mi Reyna Morada

I dreamed that I woke up beside you just in time to watch the sun set. Love games we play together for an audience of stars. Millions of other astral lovers come to encourage us and cheer us on, until the sun comes to rise again and sends us rushing back to bed.

We have no use for daylight and contriving with the "Talking Heads". Leave them to their material productive time. We need rest to recover from our love hangover of song and wine.

Like two spoons cradled comfortably in a cupboard draw, are you conforming to my lap, or I to your spinal cord?

Together we create the world that we permit to surround us. We do not live only where we are allowed to.

They call us unrealistic, dreamers and fools. But we know the secret of the universe and that inside knowledge we use as a tool.

We understand that this place and time is only a carnival ride. We can get on and off whenever we like. Why should we delay heaven until we die?

Numi

"Numi" is the pen-name I adopted in 2007 after a friend gifted me a copy of The Essential Rumi; by Coleman Barks. After reading some of my works, it was suggested that it reminded them of the works by Rumi. In no way do I align myself with this Great Master Poet, but I do feel a deep connection to his poetry, and the book of Essentials was my constant companion during a 5 year saga, where I was stranded in the Amazon Jungle of Peru, from 2010-2015. Everything in my collections were written during a 4 year period, 1999-2003. more…
