Untouchables

Batwings, goblin kings, swallowtail heartstrings,
scratch wishes tossed in plaza fountains,
charisma-confidence-comfort-cheerless,
April’s final petal tumbling
 “loves me not” to asphalt,
ivy itching, time dripping,
Nebulae, BIV behind gales,
iridescent sky bombs midsummer,
sunsets casting lavender flush on gardens,
cloud castles overhead, van Gogh’s stars,
crimson emerald golden free-styling
between puddles underneath traffic lights,
windblown evenings sheltered in dormancy
amid lyrics close to midnight,
obscurity permeating Stevie Wayne’s
lighthouse windows, tenebrosity,
Monroeville shoppers conquering Macys,
cosmopolitan terminus,
and never unlatching your lifelocks.
