I Remain Enchanted By You

I remain enchanted by you
Even as the Sun sets on my day
Your face lingers long beyond the shadows
Day may recede and night rise
Yet your eyes sparkle with stars
In my memory your voice
Ripples and echoes
With melodic sweetness
And imitates the softness of a breeze.

Paris by night pales next to you
Such romantic scenery seems trivial
At the mere thought of you
Filling my lowest points
As cool water soothing me
Completely with your calmness
I feel so still around you
Anywhere else peace is faint
Your serenity is a celestial sky
Blanketing me with bliss.

So it comes as no sweet surprise
Verses come to me like kisses
Drawing my thoughts
Towards desires for your affection
Your skin is a sensuous landscape
For my gratitude to make a home
And compose you as poetry
Read you aloud so the world
Hears you as eloquent
Metaphors of beauty and love.
