SUDDEN SILENCE

SUDDEN SILENCE

Suddenly a trumpet blast is heard
The sound carries far and wide
"Get ready!" The soldiers spread the word
"The King is going to ride the tide!"
A sound of hoof beats racing across the ground
A Majestic stead parts quickly through the crowd
To the fore of the army the King rides, turning around
He says, "Victory is ours!" As the Army bowed

A flash of lightning the King races to Earth
With a war cry His Army races on His heal
Arrayed in finery beyond worldly worth
Behold the return of the God of Israel!
On the plains of Megiddo, the enemy awaits
The might of a world gathered in one tiny place
This is the moment that decides the fates
It is the time,  where time has no face

The guns of the world, fire as one
Dead on target! Right at the King!
But this is the King of Kings, the fight has just begun
It ended with the words Jesus sings
"It is finished!" The sword swings from His mouth
"I AM the Lamb who was slain! The Lion who reigns!
I created the lands of the East, West, North,  and South!
Whatever you've stolen My hand reclaims!"

As He speaks the armies of the world die
With every word the Blood starts to rise
The evil of the world brings a tear to His eye
For their choice of destruction He cries
But this King WILL honor their choice
They choose death, so death they receive
Giving pain at victory's rejoice
For those who do believe

As the world's army lies dead, the Serpent is dragged forward
Pressed to the ground before the mighty King
" Jesus!", the snake hisses," You alone are Lord!"
The echo of his confession endlessly  rings
Then a great pit opens and the Beast falls in
Into the Hell created for the Author of Violence
The King declares, " Let us remember this moment,  the end of sin!"
Suddenly,  before Eternity, there is a  moment of silence
AMEN
