Faith

I didn't portray myself to know much about religion,
I wasn't one to pretend to be religious,
My faith is strong towards God in heaven,
Because as a young lad God has been the foundation of my upbringing,
A faith is based upon an individuals subjective beliefs,
That's my reason I don't discredit what another believes,
Instead my openness to better harmonize in relation,
To build together upon a friendly conversation,
No, I don't profess to know how to live in societal expectations,
I believe in time God will progress my path despite my own self willing,
Upon my chest I have been pinned a set of wings,
To stay aflight and ready to jump with chuted slings,
As one that has served with a band in consideration,
My professionalism is shown when permitted for consideration,
Still in my own way some creeds I maintain to follow,
In God we trust a belief I think I stand true without hollow,
To maintain the best way I know to progress with some type of honor,
Because the band in my own consideration were like my brother (& sisters of course) I learned from to follow,
To become a better man than I was back when I acted like an immature toddler,
Sometimes my immaturity does sometimes show,
So indeed overtime I learn to mature and grow,
Yet because of my own disconcerted decisive efforts,
Still, I live in hope and follow a path unknown,
Where only God knows where I am most worthy of helpfulness and support.
