Birth of Belief

At the sharp edge of a misty thought…
at the pin prick of birth in the centre
of a yet sensed emotion…
where a synapse reaches out
for another wavering vibration,
far off and awaiting its eminent spark…
here I’ve come to live all the lives
I can’t ever seem to live.
This is where I live with you.
You…
with your shadowy edges
and waves of emotion like gravity…
like the impossible seeds of a star.
Your wavering vibrations reach me…
ethereal rays dancing and reaching out
to a vast universe existing outside of us.
You…
with your eminent sparks smouldering
on the cusp of singing chain reactions.
You. Only you.
The ground between us that doesn’t exist…
this is where our safe path has appeared.
Footfall after footfall
pacing through invisible grass
revealing the dark earth beneath.
Your footfalls… my footfalls…
the dark earth where so much now glows…
our luminescent hearts cradled soundly
among all other living things that grow.
