Freedom through Death
This Poem is about my Saviour,
It is about his death and the pain he bore.
My heart is heavy as I approach where the cross departs.
In silence I remember His sacrifice so great.
The Lamb of God who bore my fate.
Nailed to a cross on that dark day,
Even in the darkness,
Love and mercy shines through is eyes
The sky turned dark, the earth did shake,
As He cried out for my sake
"It is finished,"
A sentence he spoke as he took his final breath,
A moment that marked death for him, but freedom it marked for me.
So hope lingers in the air,
For this was not the end, but a beginning of something new,
And on the third day, when dawn shall break,
I will rise with Him, in freedom, power and glory.
So I bow my head in prayer,
And thank Him for His love so rare.
On Good Friday, He declared my freedom and grace found me.
The celebration of his death every year is a rememberance that the devil has lost once again in this battle of my life,
For my assurance and hope of my salvation is renewed and my life made anew,
For His love will forever abound.
On Good Friday, I stand in awe,
Praise to the Lamb, the One who took away my chains and gave me freedom.
I await as a I rise with the Master kn the third day.
Happy Good Friday my Fellow Brethen,
Let's Reminisce on His Sacrifice as we renew our Strenth
