To my 12 year old self

In the blink of an eye suddenly I'm 12 begging for forgiveness to be myself Wondering why I can't seem to shine
Why I'm always talked over time after time
Always ignored
Am I annoying, or immature?
Why are others being so demure?
I wish I was like others
Talented, beautiful
Like a painting in a meadow Breathtaking and colourful
Tell me now
What are my faults?
Kept like a secret and locked in a vault
Perceived as a peasant
Useless, unskilled
From the darkness within, I seek a thrill
Its cumulus nimbus clouding in
Like thunder like a storm
My soul becomes a sin
In the blink of an eye
To the twelve year old girl I call me
You're forgiven you gleam
But most importantly you are seen
