Echoes Of My Mind

In the silence of my lonely room,
I wait and wait for her to come.
Missing her presence, her warmth and her smile,
As she's out serving others for a while.

Yearning for that warm and loving embrace,
To find solace in her tender grace

As weekends come, and she returns,
With open arms, my heart now yearns.
For the love of a mother, so pure,
In her embrace, my spirit finds cure.

With stress upon me,a heavy weight,
It's her embrace that makes it abate,
When she's near, all worries subside,
Her mere presence, a soothing guide.

She listens intently, as problems unfold
Her wisdom, a balm that eases the soul.
For when I tell her my problems, my fears,
They vanish, dissolve, as she wipes away tears.

Guiding me with gentle words,
Her wisdom like sweet singing birds.
Her blessing ,her love, her tender care,
Every gesture, a reminder she's there.

Oh, the blessings that she imparts,
Filling my soul and mending my heart.
A mother's love, a treasure untold,
More precious than any worldly gold.

And oh, the food she prepares with care,
To the gentleness in every prayer,
Nourishment for body and soul to share,
Those flavours,those scents, memories ensnared

But alas, the joy of weekends doesn't last long,
As the clock ticks on, she must leave... strong!
There's so much to share, so much to say,
But our time together slips away.

I now understand her dedication so true,
No one else can replace what she can do.
Every gesture ,every touch ,
I miss it all,I miss her so much

Her sacrifices unseen, but etched within,
A love that transcends, through thick and thin.

A mother's love, a bond that stays,
Even when she's absent for days.

The child who never spent a night away,
Now waits for a week for her touch each day.
So I wait, longing for the day to come,
When weekends arrive, and we're finally one,

She is my mother, my guiding light,
A beacon of love, forever shining bright.

Though physically apart ,our hearts remain one
A bond unbreakable,a love that can't be undone.

About this poem

This poem is based on my life as a teenager aged 16. The child in the poem is me. In this heartfelt poem, we encounter a child longing for their mother who is frequently away due to her job. The child eagerly waits for weekends, hoping for the arrival of their beloved mother. The absence of her warm and loving embrace leaves the child feeling stressed and burdened, as they find solace and relief in her comforting presence. The mother's attentive listening and wise counsel provide much-needed solace during difficult times. The child deeply misses every single gesture of love, care, and affection their mother displays. Even the food she prepares holds a special place in the child's heart. However, the joy of the weekend is short-lived as the mother must leave again. The father tries his best to bridge the gap caused by the mother's absence, but the unique bond between a child and their mother remains irreplaceable. Through experiencing this separation, the child gains a de
