Lost Love

Who's knocking my door?
at this hour of silence
when the sun's at rest
silvery moon's up the sky
playing hide and seek
with dark clouds around.

The cows long retired
to their sheds of peace
birds and crows too rest
in their warm family nest.

Is it the lonely little boy
who runs errands at shop
 his parents deserted him
to reside in Heavenly abode.

Could be the feeble old man
who seems lunatic to all
his children fled away
he's now left on his own.

May be the school teacher
a species of his type
chases illiterate villagers
to teach skill of mankind.

Guess, it's the cry of ghost
of my long lost calf love
nipped in the bud
tender, sweet and calm.

Oh! why doesn't it appear
figure silhouetted again
does the knock scares me,
shaky shadow stares me?.
