Ponders of the heart

"REFLECTIONS OF THE HEART Abandoned by society Left in solitude by the departed Tears flow daily, not due to abundance, But due to an abundance of fears, Fears that consume me I am not strong like a lion, But rather delicate and vulnerable More so when left to face the harsh world alone, A world filled with fears, Fears that bring constant sorrow My heart is burdened As my thoughts wander, Wondering if the world will ever be the same Questioning if life is merely a game Am I to blame, Blame for your absence Or am I simply inexperienced Memories linger, Embedded in my subconscious Meant to remind me of you, You and the valuable lessons, Lessons on how to persevere Yet you left me behind, Left me behind while you departed Is this just? I view it as unjust, An endless nightmare I cannot bring myself to leave For you are close to me in my presence Please communicate, describe your experiences there When will I join you? Will we reunite, Even in death? Or was our time together truly our last? In all sincerity, this is a living nightmare Every day I gaze at the sky"
