Interruption for Wonder

Delores Cairns

Tree boughs hang gold nets of shaking light
On the walls;
A cup holds slanted shadow;
I move a glass jug-
On it's curven side appears
A shining little window,
And when did I pour clouds and sky
Into this bowl?

How shall I finish my work,
Having constantly to marvel
Over these small wonders?

    I liked the picture you wrote on the first line: “gold nets of shaking light”, I’m fond with boughs as permanent parts in nature so this first adds appeal to me as a reader. Then you advance towards walls, and then some kitchen’s things and the full idea appears clear.
