JUST GOTTA SHAKE MY HEAD

JUST GOTTA SHAKE MY HEAD

I look around the world today
And I've just gotta shake my head
Even as we bow down to pray
There's news of more people dead

And we rage and fight in a world so dark
The meek get trampled by the stong
The winds of rage blow out Hope's spark
The evil laugh, and revel in their wrong

There's a tear I see, drop from His eye
As His people are crushed on every side
What pain that we cause God to cry,
The lost run from God, in darkness hide

Hey Christian, can ya  see the darkness grow?
Hear the Devil laugh on the church's grave
It's always darkest before the Dawn ya know
See the Bride arise as our Lord saves

You tell me this darkness, proves all is lost
Tell me to give up, it's no use to resist
But you don't know the salvation of the Cross
My Lord is coming with His mighty Fist!

I stand in Faith in His eternal Light!
I stand, unmoving on Jesus who's my rock
Run away you evil, no power in the night
Come you lost, it's time to beat the clock

I look around the world today
Man I've got to shake my head
I know even as I bow to pray
It's all exactly as He said
AMEN

About this poem

I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am who I am. Very truly I tell you, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me. John 13 19-20
