Time waits not

Voices expressing all that swirls inside the mind
Lashing out like viscous whips
Hitting their target dead on with the ultimate vigor
Dissent of views turned sour

30 days silent have the voices been
The hearts space once fully occupied seems to now bleed
Left in purgatory’s harsh grip
Waiting for what never may come

Wallowing in reflective thought
Perhaps eternity will embrace this state of being
Bandaging a wound unnecessarily with hope

Time is suppose to heal all wounds
False
Time helps give cool heads and apologies
False
Time creates a void that can never be filled…
Possible

Dark numbness spreads throughout the veins
Filling the void with inky energy
Subtle voices of apologetic nature spill

Empty responses filling the gap between
Hollow feelings pressured by outside influences
Carving out deep relations into mere piles
Left littered to be swept away

Missing the optimism flowing outwards
Hoping to no longer be suffocated by dismay
Reaching out with hearts own yarning
Listening for an nothing and everything

Time is nothing if it holds nothing
True

It's kind of hard not to be cynical in this world. I'm guessing you don't mean the necessities like food, water etc. More things like meaningful relationships, love, possibly pragmatic pursuits. Your poem is a bit dark, I like it.
