it seems a life time ago
when we met
you wanted to tear my head off
a huge misunderstanding
as time went by
we became friends
a shared love of music
and an old beat up guitar
we'd sit for hours and play
the melodies flowed like water
days would pass into years
we'd fall out of touch
and pick up like time never passed
our friendship grew
and wandered through time

that you had passed

you were always there
