STORMY

STORMY

Boom! Boom!
That's her heart-beating.
Boom! Boom!
That's her spirit crashing on an unloved foundation.

Swoop! Swoop!
That's the pushing and shrugging.
Swoop! Swoop!
That's the sound of slaps to an innocent face.

"Stormy", is what she calls him, when he's on a drunken rage.
"Stormy", is how she described it, when she's living in
constant fear.

Her marriage was happiness and before she knew it,
it was a one-man game, as soon as she took his name.

Boom! Boom!
That's her in a baffling situation.
Boom! Boom!
That's her fragile wishes with broken dreams.

Swoop! Swoop!
That's flying glasses and plates.
Swoop! swoop!
Thats a foot the choice of weapon, kicking and stomping.

"Stormy", is what her soul was screaming.
"Stormy", is what nobody saw coming into her life.
"Stormy", is what she called him.
