When I First Saw You.
When I First Saw You
When I first saw you,
your eyes did wink,
A sparkle so bright,
I started to think,
In that moment,
my heart began to soar,
With every glance,
I wanted more.
But as time went on,
my hopes did sink,
For you remained distant,
I couldn't link.
Yet,
your presence remained
in my sight,
A beacon of hope
in the darkest night.
I wondered if you
felt what I did drink,
A love so strong,
it made me rethink.
Perhaps the timing
wasn't quite right,
Yet, in my dreams,
you were my light.
I won't give up,
for love's not a plight,
I'll keep on trying,
with all my might.
In this battle for love,
I won't shrink,
I'll stand by your side,
never to blink.
For in your eyes,
I see a link,
A connection so strong,
it makes me think,
That maybe,
someday, we'll unite,
And our love will burn,
forever bright.
